Forging the Technology Ecosystem of Tomorrow!!

dn42 Information:

dn42 is an overlay network which utilizes internet technologies like BGP, Wireguard, GRE, DNS and others to form a network of networks very similar to the actual internet. dn42 is an awesome learning resource for those who aspire to utilze routing protocols on the internet.

Participation is encouraged by all with an actual interest, and all while utilizing server nodes that have reasonable capabilities.

Peering:

CdubS is open to peering with other DN42 users, understanding that you have the following items:

  • Registered ASN within the DN42 registry
  • Complete, current, and accurate DN42 registry records
  • Reasonable latency to one of my nodes, preferable < 60ms
  • Network device that runs BGP
  • No default routing or unreasonable network usage.

CdubS Peering Details:

  • Wireguard Only
  • Only 1 peering per node, unless discussed in advance
  • Prefer Multi-Protocol BGP over Link-local IPv6 addressing
  • MP-BGP and Extended Next Hop are on by default
  • Wireguard public keys, port numbers and other configurations will be exchanged via email

Review the available Nodes , and fill out the peering form or use one of the contact methods above for peering! Join the ever growing group of users today!

Infrastructure:

My dn42 network utilizes generally available KVM VPS servers from various providers across the world. Almost all nodes are dual-stack utilizing both IPv4 and IPv6 networking. Each server is interconnected to dn42 peers with BGP, using internal routing protocols iBGP and OSPF for inter-server routing updates. Wireguard is used to encrypt transport between nodes.
